Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ 'goUmez/ s@-LEE-n@ GOH-mez born on 22 July 1992) is an American actress, singer, and producer. Gomez started her acting career on the television show for children called Barney & Friends (2002-2004). She became famous as Alex Russo, a teenage actor in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Alongside her television career, Gomez appeared in the films Another Cinderella Story (2008), Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), Spring Breakers (2012), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), and The Dead Don't Die (2019) as well as voiced Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania film franchise (2012-2022). Gomez was the executive producer of the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. Additionally, she executive produces and appears in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) as well as the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building (2021-present). The latter earned Gomez critical praise, and nominations for an Golden Globe Award, and as a producer as well as and a Primetime Emmy Award .Gomez released three albums in her previous group, Selena Gomez & the Scene The Scene. All three albums were in the top ten of the US Billboard 200 and were certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA): Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun goes down (2011). Stars Dance, her debut album on her own, was a huge success on the U.S. Billboard 200, while its leading single, "Come & Get It" was a top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez's sophomore studio album Revival (2015), debuted at the top of the charts in the US, was certified platinum by the RIAA and was followed by three US top ten songs: "Good for You", "Same Old Love", "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020), her third studio album was her third straight number one. The album's main track, "Lose You To Love Me", became her first top-seller in both the US and Canada.
